And secondly another server which will be a file server for graphics and programming projects. How do i go about to configure these two servers. If I may ask is it possible to have a linux file server for windows stuff? The projects i stated above are being done on windows xp pro machines. thank you in advance for your cooperation

First, if you want to install a server, you shouldn't use the Live-CD as this will install a desktop. Use the full Fedora DVD, it lets you install a server (or desktop).

Regarding the fileserver, these two tutorials might help you:

Default Install and Configure proxy Server and file server using fedora 10

Thanks!
I have install and configure the file server using samba its up and running so far so good. But my problem is for the proxy server, i have failed to configure the squid in the text editor. Then i google for GUI stuff and find Webmin. I have installed in but i am not seeing it on the GUI. l tried for follow the command instruction to install it again, it said already exist. Where should i find it or how to i make it work. I have use the howto from this http://swelltech.com/support/webminguide/index.html. I may i be rescued from this. Or is there another GUI for configuring squid that i might use besides Webmin.
