if I create more than one shell user for one domain, they get the same userid. So I was looking at the bugtracker, found the ticket (#470)... and it turns out its intended.
How would/could I track back changes by users?
I also could change the UID through the frontend but I'm not sure about the impact.
What are the benefits of the way it is?

Thats the intended behaviour. All users of a website share the same userid.

You can have different accounts for the administrators of a website. Thats one of the most wanted features in ispconfig 2, so we introduced it in ispconfig 3.
