Default Unable to start XEN

hi,
i have installed xen on ubuntu 8.04 and is working fine.
Whenever I'm booting into xen kernel and trying to start xen by typing XEND, i 'm getting the following error,

ERROR Internal error: Could not obtain handle on privileged command interface (2 = No such file or directory)

Any body have any idea, how to solve this....

What's the output of
