co-domain problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with a subdomain, basically what I did was add a subdomain, then removed it sometime later. after this I decided I needed it again so tried to re add it and was faced with this error

The name subdomain.maindomain.tld is already in use by another site or domain.

I have no idea what to do from here, any help would be gratefully recieved.
