Default setup fails on debian 3.1

The install fails and removes the directory install_ispconfig.

Tried several times and always get the same error.

Please install the myslq-devel package from your linux distribution and run the setup again. Make sure that you remove the folders /home/admispconfig and /root/ispconfig before.

Default Fixed

That was it. I needed to add libmsysqlclient14-dev.

Now comes the adventure of setting up sites.

Thanks

Hi,

Well I managed to install the ISPConfig 2.2 on my debian and it looks everything works well inside the network but when I try this from outside, the images do not show - ISP Server Status and another image that is next to it.

Also, when I log onto to MySql, none of the images is showing. This is only happening when I log on from outside the network eg on the internet.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Please open /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/lib/config.inc.php. You should find something like this:

Code:
if(isset($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']) && isset($_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'])){
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = 'https://'.$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'].':'.$_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'];
} else {
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = "https://blabla:81";
}
Replace it with this:

Code:
if(isset($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) && isset($_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'])){
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = 'https://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].':'.$_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'];
} else {
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = "https://blabla:81";
}

Hi,

Making these changes does not solve the problem. May be it even get worse. I had a similar problem on a windows 3k server where i installed php, mysql and phpmyadmin on IIS. When I changed the the url ponting to phpmyadmin to "" from "localhost", it does solved a similar problem.

Is there a way I can try this on Debian? as I please need to connect to ISPConfig outside the network..

Thanks for your help

You can try to replace

Code:
if(isset($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) && isset($_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'])){
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = 'https://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].':'.$_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'];
} else {
  $go_info["server"]["server_url"] = "https://blabla:81";
}
with just

Code:
$go_info["server"]["server_url"] = "https://blabla:81";
