Default Create Additional IP's

Hi,

If I am to set up my server for virtual hosting do I need to create the additional IP addresses I use for my domains somewhere else or just in the IP list in ISPConfig?

It just seems odd that I create a new domain and assing an IP, should the OS need to know about this and should I be adding this as a new eth decvice?

Just trying to troubleshoot my problems and thought I would verify...

Thanks

Default

Normally you have to add the IP in ISPConfig and in your operating system. But you can also activate automatic IP configuration in ispconfig config.inc.php file and ispconfig will configure the operating system IP's as well. But this works only on systems with one network card.
