Default Apache and Dreamweaver?

Whats it take or where do i go to get these two to run together. I'v been through the walkthroughs on both, they work fine. Dreamweaver in wine. and the ubuntu install for apch, mysql, php, phpma.
When I try to make a connection in dreamweaver, it can't find any databases to connect to?!?
Do they both have to run in wine? or Ubntu?

MySQL has to be configured to listen on all interfaces. You should be able to connect to it from Dreamweaver (or any other client) after adding a remote user.
Take a look at step 10 of this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_debian_etch_p4
