Question Change domain of existing web?
What is the best way to change the domain name of an existing web in ISPConfig?

Is it better to create the new web, move the files and delete the old web?
OR
Is there a simple low-risk way to just change the domain name in ISPConfig and everything happens by magic?

click on the website, change the domain name in the domain field and click on save

You are right. I forgot a major step. If you want to change the co domain too, you will have to edit it as well
