Default How can I set up a public download directory with PureFTPd?

Thanx for the article "Virtual Hosting With PureFTPd And MySQL (Incl. Quota And Bandwidth Management) On Fedora 9", I have learned to set up my ftp site now.

But, if I want all the ftp virtual users, not allow anonymous, to download from a public directory, how can I set the permissions?

For example, I use following dir structure:

ftp root has two subdirs, one is public, only for login user to download, the other is private, each login user can set up his own subdir in it.

Thank you very much!

Hi qings

I think you have to enable the sticky bit (t), just like in /tmp

drwxrwxrwt 38 root root 12288 2008-11-05 10:35 /tmp/
