Default home router / firewall

I would like to see a how-to set up a Debian/Ubuntu/*-based router firewall for home users. There are lots of 'heavy-duty industrial' resources out there for power users, but for 'ordinary newbies' like me ... well, they're scary :-)

nothing fancy, no server(s), just 'make our home computers internet-able and safe

basics

I suggest that you try IPCop then. It's a router/firewall distribution based on Linux.
