ISPconfig SSL during install often corrupt (on VPS systems)

One oddity that I've noticed is that ISPConfig seems to fail to properly generate the certificate (I've carefully entered common name each time) somehow or copying it in the right place during a fresh install.

There is no error message and the install finishes succesfully, but when trying to reach https://system:81 the browser will complain about certificate handshake issues and not even display an option to accept it anyway.

The systems this has happened on has mostly been on VPS systems running debian or suse 11.

The manual fix is to simply regenerate the certificate manually ( http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/sho...58&postcount=4 ) .

But out of curiousity, what may be the cause of these failiures? Especially on VPS images under VMWare. Using normal perfect installation guides.

Anyone else noticed issues with SSL after a fresh install?

This must be a general OpenSSL problem then as this is a normal OpenSSL compilation...
