Default handling mail with ispconfig

Hi all,

I am very new to ispconfig (before i used plesk)

The problem is :

When i add email accounts to a site, ispconfig adds the complete site with hostname to
/etc/postfix/local-hostnames and /etc/postfix/virtusertable

if i add domein.tld on domain and www on hostname , i can find www.domein.tld in
/etc/postfix/local-hostnames and /etc/postfix/virtusertable
and i just want the hostname in those files.

tnxs in advance!
How can i change this ?

That behaviour is normal if you use ISPConfig and should not be changed.
Make sure that you these hosts and domain names for each site:

host: www
domain: example.com

On the co-domain tab of that same site:

host: (leave this empty)
domain: example.com

If you dont want www.domain.com in this file, set mailserver to external in the website settings and add the co-domain that Hans described above.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.
