Hello,
I completed the howto on postfix-courier-mysql with amavis (Great HowTo

). My question is about the clamav installation. I get the follwoing error message whenever freshclam runs:
Code:

I have checked out the clamav site and read about my options for upgrading. I am just really worried about breaking my install. I am not really sure how to proceed.
Question 1: Should I try to upgrade to the latest version 0.88? Is 8.4 the latest version to be officially released with Debian?
Question 2: is it better to compile from source or use a binary distribution? I see that there are some "unofficial" packages here:
deb
http://people.debian.org/˜sgran/debian sarge main
deb-src
http://people.debian.org/˜sgran/debian sarge main
what are the risks of using unofficial binaries?
Question 3: What is the safest way to go about upgrading.
