Is there an 'easy' way to get rid of the webX_ prefix?
Users are complaining about the fact that when they send mail, it shows up in the receiver's inbox as being from webX_username. And, in fact, this can be confusing. So, my question is how can I get rid of the prefix that ispconfig places in front of web users' names?

I strongly advise against removing the prefix.
All your users have to do is set the correct sender address in their email clients.
Please explain...I don't understand your solution. When a user from my email server sends an email to anyone else, the receiver's client shows the email to be from webX_username@domain.com. My users find this to be confusing for their email recipients. Are you saying there is a way around this other than removing webX_ as described above?
