Default Can I login mail with client like evolution?

Hello.

I want login for download mails using client mail like evolution, thunderbird, etc. But the system does not accept my password however with web i will.

Somebody could explain me this.

What happens if you do this:
telnet <your server> 110
user <your mail usernamed>
pass <your mail password>
quit

do you have a successful access or not?

Is your anti-virus blocking access ou your firewall?

Default This is the error

Hello to everybody. Hello Till.

Explication: I use SSL in the mail client and it is thunderbird and Evolution too.

I had tryed connect with thunderbir in LAN to ispconfig server and i cant, this is the error in the server's mail log.

Jul 27 23:16:19 ubuntuserver pop3d-ssl:connection, ip=[::FFFF:192.168.0.37]
Jul 27 23:16:19 ubuntuserver pop3d-ssl:login failed, user=usuario@grafycomp.es,ip=[::ffff:192.168.0.37]
