Default prob with vmware server

hi everybody !
i have a problem with vmware-server .
I'm using ubuntu 8.04-desktop
I have installed vmware-server and i have 3 partition on HDD : 1 with ext3 and 2 partition ntfs .
problem is when i creat a new virtual machine and i locate virtual disk on a ntfs partition -> it doesn't run
but when i locate virtual disk on ext3 partition -> it run
anybody know ???
how do i fix it to run on a ntfs partition ????
