Unhappy Permissions for bind

Start up BIND, and check /var/log/syslog for errors:

/etc/init.d/bind9 start

gives errors
named[10734]: loading configuration from '/etc/bind/named.conf'
named[10734]: none:0: open: /etc/bind/named.conf: permission denied

I don't think its a problem with BIND but with apparmor. Please redo the instructions to remove it and reboot your system.

I'm a newb but been installing and working with this. Rocky, this is an AWESOME tool and many thanks. I did find this and not sure but it worked for me.

Step 9.9 has a line:

Quarantine Whole Message As Queue Files = no

This produces errors:

After a little looking found this:

Quarantine Whole Messages As Queue Files = no

Which was commented out. I made the change and the errors disappeared. Don't ask me what it all does, just no more errors.
