Default Where did newly application go ?

I have played with my new PCLOS some days. Every installing by Synaptic were OK except for some small and not so popular programs. For example I install x unikey, a Vietnamese keyboard program. After installing, it just simply disappeared, while Synaptic still recognized that it were installed. I cannot find it in the menu.

In this case, how can I get it appear in the menu ? and how can we start a program that is not in the menu itself ?

sorry, my questions may sound silly, but I really am a newbie.

Try by running command:

locate unikey
in console.

Most likely it will be in /usr/bin folder.
