synchronizing egroupwarewith contact

I have installed to my satisfaction egroupware as a server to wich I synchronize with my pocketpc contact, calendar and todo's.

egroupware also can synchronize with Kontact which has a brilliant interface for keeping track of of all these things.

However I have the annoying effect that sometimes it isn't able to sync because the username is appearing crypted in a dialog frame in which I cannot alter the username.

I assume this i the reason it cannot sync. It alo makes egroupware shutdown out of security reasons ( to many attempts).

Can anybody help me on this.

I went through a lot of logfiles in /var/log however coudn't find a error which meant something to me however i am not the expert and i didn't know where to ecactly look for.

So is there a specific logfile or more then one i need to check

I'd check all log files in the /var/log directory.
