All goes well until then it stops any Ideas? centos 4 install. Install properly identfyies the os on startup

Just a thought (and I'm no expert), but you could try deleting /install_ispconfig and try this:

Then run install routine again. Seems to work for a lot of people - certainly did for me.

Median is right, you have to update zlib before you install ISPConfig:
