Default Xen 3.1 howto problems. Error: Device 769 (vbd) could not be connected.

Hi,

I'm having some problems with the Xen 3.1 tutorial in Page 3. It says to run
Quote:
xen-create-image --hostname=xen1.example.com --size=2Gb --swap=256Mb --ide \
--ip=192.168.0.101 --netmask=255.255.255.0 --gateway=192.168.0.1 --force \
--dir=/vserver --memory=32Mb --arch=i386 --kernel=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-xen \
--debootstrap --dist=etch --mirror=http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian/ --passwd
and it worked just fine, however, when I run

Quote:
xm create /etc/xen/xen1.example.com.cfg
to start the virtual machine, I get an error.

Quote:
xenhost01:~# xm create /etc/xen/xen1.example.com.cfg
Using config file "/etc/xen/xen1.example.com.cfg".
Error: Device 769 (vbd) could not be connected. /vserver/domains/xen1.example.com/disk.img does not exist.
xenhost01:~#
Any ideas why this happens? Ive tried many times with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

ok,

solved it. It was very simple, I didnt have a "/vserver" directory created, where is makes the .img files.

Maybe this should be added to the HowTo

Thanks

It is already in the HowTo, see:

When it comes to the partitioning, I select Manual. I create the following partitions:

/boot 150 MB (Primary) (Location for the new partition: Beginning) (ext3) (Bootable flag: on <-- important, otherwise your system will not boot!)
swap 1GB (Logical) (Location for the new partition: Beginning)
/ 3GB (Logical) (Location for the new partition: Beginning) (ext3)
/vserver the rest (Logical) (Location for the new partition: Beginning) (ext3)
