Ubuntu server sometimes down

I have two servers with ubuntu 6.06 and ispconfig 2.2.18:

in the first I have no problem and everytinghs works fine, but in the second I have a strange problem.

Every about 40 minutes the server go down and it's impossible view websites, made access in ftp, ssh and the ping made error.

The server was not here but in a datacenter but it's in the same datacenter of the other one and the first one have no problem.

The strange was that if I take up a SSH console with the server, it doesn't go down for all day.

It's a little bit strange: I can exclude electric problem, but why go right if I take ssh console (telnet) open with the server?

I think a coniguration problem like hibernation, standby, etcc.. or somethings else..

Sounds as if the network connection goes down when there's no constant stream of data.
Are there any errors in your logs or in the output of

dmesg

?
