Default Using Zimbra with Debian Etch

I've recently come across the Zimbra Collaboration Suite Install on Ubuntu - Below is the link:

http://howtoforge.com/installing_zim...uite_on_ubuntu

I wanted to know if this how-to will work using Debian Etch? Any Debian Etch install how-to.

Joe

No, because Zimbra doesn't provide a package for Etch. The supported distributions are listed here: http://www.zimbra.com/community/downloads.html

Falko, thanks for your reply! One other question I have.
I already had my DNS setup with mx records as mx1.domain.com & mx2.domain.com...

In the how-to it refers to set dns as mail.domain.com... etc.. Should I change my dns to reflect mail.domain.com? Or, can i do something else? It doesn't matter?

Joe

Use mx1.domain.com as your hostname then.

If you want to publish it on HowtoForge as well, take a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/add_howto
