How to keep files/windows from opening in RHEL3.0 on boot
Suddenly, some unwanted windows/files appeared open on the Gnome desktop each time I boot the server. I am running RHEL 3.0. I close them, but on each reboot, they are back again!
Does anyone know what could be causing this, and how I can get back to a "clean" desktop--i.e., just the basic default Gnome folders/graphics?

The files that are opening on boot are a random text file and a random directory folder. These are both text files and directory folders we once opened, but somehow something is being stored to always open them on boot.

Maybe you can change that by right-clicking on those files and change some settings? Or maybe there are some settings in Gnome's control center that have to be changed.
