Default problems with (i think) ownership

I created a website in ISPConfig, I copied the files from my Wind**s-computer to the web1/www directory.
My main file was called index.htm.
The website is called http://godopentdeuren.vanharten.net, so when I enter http://godopentdeuren.vanharten.net/index.htm the website opens correct
What do I have to do so users can visit the websites using the URL without index.htm?
Do I have to change the owner of all the files I copied?

Default

Set it in ISPConfig > Options tab. There you can set the DirectoyIndex.
(remove all and add index.htm)
