Default samba - modification-time + creation-time of files

hi all !

i noticed, that if a file ist copie'd from winxp to samba, file-creation date is set to "now" -- and modificatoin-time is also set to "now" ....

is it possible to preserve the file-creation date, and only modify the modification-time when copying to samba ?

or is this filesystem-realated? i use reiserfs on my linux-pc..

can anyone supply some info / links ?

thank's

chris
