Question Ventrilo client-side

Google didn't come up with any good answers how to get the client side of Ventrilo working.
(Since there is no native Linux client you have to use Wine or Cedega)

So I'd really like a howto how to setup the Ventrilo client with Wine and all correct codecs and so on.
Preferrably for Ubuntu.

Maybe you'd like to try Mumble instead of Ventrilo? http://www.howtoforge.com/mumble_voice_chat_fedora_7

Mumble looks very interesting!
Maybe there could be a howto for installing both the server and client on Ubuntu and not just Fedora?

But none the less I'd really like a howto for installing the Ventrilo client
