Problems upon trying install the Postfix

Hello. Were following its tutorial of the howto about postfix (http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual_po...er_ubuntu_edgy ), however I am having some difficulties. The directories inside the /home/vmail are not being created (cur, new, tmp). Also I am not obtaining to authenticate in the courier-pop. I am doing the following test and receiving the following error:

Root@server1:/var/spool# telnet 127.0.0.1 110 Trying 127.0.0.1.. Connected it to you 127.0.0.1. Escape character i '^]'. + OK Hello there. User server1.example.com + OK
Password required. Pass secret -ERR Login failed. Quit + OK Better luck next team. Connection closed by foreign host.

Sombody can help me ?

You must send an email first to a new account before you try to fetch mails. Maildir is created when the first mail arrives.
