Question HOWTO: Setting up Subversion and websvn on Debian

Hello Folks

i have a serious problem with installing subversion and websvn on ubuntu linux. i use RANCID to generate some repositorys. got them in (i think) /var/lib/rancid/rancid-test) if i connect to my webserver @ http://webserver/websvn i get the listing of avaiable repositories. a click on a folder just shows me that there are no repositories avaiable. websvn is configured and installed like described in the howto.
can you please help me? please ask for more information. i am very new to linux
