apt-get i heard doesnt remove dependent packages when used to remove, it just removes the package in the list, sĺ in order to remove the all packages, including dependent packages you have to manually list them all, correct me if I am wrong. I tried aptitude, maybe if i spent more time learning it, it might work, i just felt that it was very user unfriendly. I also used synaptic in the gui, and that was pretty nice, however for some reason only the icons were removed in the menu over installed programs, the name of the deleted programs were still there. Anyway, i just got tired, in windows i enter the controlpanel, choose whatever program i want to remove, and then click remove, its simple and it always works! no bumps, no headaches! With tools such as nlite i can now customized my xp installation as i wish, just like you can choose whatever packages you like in linux. Right now im running a win xp pro sp2 installation and it runs smooth! The best of all, i dont have any headaches!
It consumes approx 80 MB of RAM! its stable, and it just works! Even though i would love a command line based linux install as i believe they are great, but i dont really see any reason to move to linux right now to run a gui. Anyway, thx for all replies and help. I apprecite it!
