The Perfect Desktop - PCLinuxOS 2007

Hi, i did follow step by step this guide with no problem until i tried to install VMware-server, after i unpacked the .tar.gz file i tried to run the installer ang get the following error:

A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

Execution aborted.

Failure

Execution aborted.

if this is a new PCLinuxOS installation, how come i alrady have it installed?

Did you maybe install VMware Player? You can only have VMware Player or VMware Server, but not both of them.
