Default Update ispconfig skiping versions?

I have not had a chance to maintain the version of my ispconfig for some time, and I was wondering was it safe to update from a version like 2.2.9 straight to the latest, 2.2.14, or should I observe a more concervative upgrade path?
Are there any specific things, articles, manual entries I should pay sepcific attention to everytime I come back to update to a newer version of ispconfig?

Thank you all so much for this great control panel system by the way,, My life is just soooo much easier because of it. I hope to be able to contribute something back to the community someday. Not sure what I could do though?
