Additional Forums?
Hi,
do you also plan to have some more forums here, e.g. forums related to web hosting, dedicated servers, a forum for each major Linux distribution (Debian, RedHat, Fedora, SuSE, Gentoo,...), etc.?

Yes, maybe later, for the beginning we have to see how the forums develop and for which topics it is useful to create a separate forum...

Introduction Forum
Hi,
Maybe an introduction forum to say a bit about who we are and what we are expecting ........ Shall I start
I'm Jack (obviously not my REAL name ) and been 'fiddling' with computer settings for over 30 years. Seen through ALL Bill Gates's crap creations and now just trying out Linux for the first time. So far VERY VERY impressed. I am intending to buy me a cheap secondhand PC, zap Billy off of it, and install PCLinux and fiddle to my hearts content. I can't wait!!
Been on many many forums and wish to say thanks right from the beginning to the moderators for all thier help and support.

I think seperate forum would be a good idea. Especially seperate distro forums for the How-To on the main site. I hope this site picks up because we have great mods and admins who seam dedicated to there work and the site.
Keep up the great work!

Yes, but first the forum has to become bigger (more threads, posts, users). But we're moving in the right direction!
We're giving our best!

what do you think, could we have a forum for "beginner questions" or a "newbies welcome" forum?
I am asking because I still find myself confronted with "easy" newbie-style questions and I don't want to go away to a rootforum or whatever and ask my question there in a sometimes less than friendly environment.
just to give you an example: I have been unsuccessful in finding the right way to logout a user who did not log out from his session by using google although I have been searching for severall hours. maybe I was using the wrong serach terms, or whatever, fact is I think it would be a very nice addition to this forum, where we could post trivial questions.
what do you think?

Hi,
you can ask all linux related questions here in the forums, even if thy are beginners questions. We will add an FAQ section with solutions for some common questions.
