Unhappy Window icons missing

Hi
I just started to use Linux and installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 on my computer. I've updated my Nvidia graphic card through Automatix. But whenever i enable the Desktop effects the icons and title bar on the windows disappear. Which makes me unable to move the window, and i cant close, minimize or maximize the windows either.
Please help me out.

Do you mean Beryl or Compiz?
Any errors in your logs?

Check all log files in the /var/log/ directory.

Just open the log files and check if there are errors in there.

I've checked all the logs, but i only found 1 error. And that error was only because of wrong settings for the network.
