GUI Interface Problem With CentOS

Hey all im trying to set up CentOS as a server and i get thru adding all of the packages i need and i install the OS and i reboot the server and it starts up then all i get is a command line like this

vserver@vserver.net) Login:


Password

all that good stuff but i do not see the graphical interface to CentOS

i have installed X Windows System, KDE Desktop, Gnome Desktop, And All The Server packages we need for the server and i still see just the command line is this suppose to happen and stay in command form??????????

Log in on the command line and run

startx
