Which error message do you get when you execute:

mount -o remount /

Are you logged in as root user?

Default I figured it out

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was entering all of it together. the way the HOWTO is writen it makes you think it gose in all as one command. When I entered each string seperetly, it worked just fine. Thanks for the is GREAT web site.
Is there any way they can change the HOWTO so people that are not so linux based can understan that it is sepret commands? thanks again. Cruz

Normally you can just copy all commands at once into the shell (of course, each command must still go in its own line).
