Default chkrootkit installation problem

Hi all
When i tried to install chkrootkit I encounter this problem when I tried to compile it before install:
gcc -DHAVE_LASTLOG_H -o chklastlog chklastlog.c
make: gcc: Command not found
make: *** [chklastlog] Error 127

Does anyone know what the problems are?.

You must install gcc. Which distribution do you use?
