Default organization membership database webapp?

Anyone know an opensource web package that will allow for the adding membership information to some database and being able to search that databases for specific people?

It would have to be able to have custom fields for storing information such as their names, addresses, member number, home club number, etc...

It can be done in Drupal several ways. Adding the information to users registration profile or using webforms plugin. Probably the profile is more what you're looking for.

Probably many of the other Content Management packages, Joomla, etc. Anything that allows registration and lets you add fields to the users data.
