Perfect Setup - SuSE 10.1+ISPconfig only works on LAN

I have installed suse 10.1 ("The Perfect Setup - SuSE 10.1") plus the ISPconfig and all works fine but only on LAN. If I check the CanYouSeeMe.org tool the ports return for example:

Error: I could not see your service on xx.xx.xx.xx on port (80)
Reason: Connection timed out

testing this with a friend over the internet, same results, could not reach the server.

Port 80 (tcp/udp) is forwarded to the server IP on router. (No linux firewall active)

any help with this ? do I need to forward some more ports to the server machine ?

ok I made a change to the router's port forwarding. Changed:

external port 80 to > 6969

and the check tool can see my service on port 6969

but an external internet user gets taken to the Shared IP page.

I am working on it but any help would be appreciated.

ok, using the dyndns service it works fine from the outside
