Default debian 2.6.18.3

maybe you could help me i have some troubles with compiling debian kernel 2.6.18.3. as i read the flip has the same problem with sbin/init cannot open dev/console. we tried to do it in differnt way but did not help.

What exactly are you trying to do? Which commands did you use? What's the output on your screen. My crystal globe is currently broken

i am trying to compile new debian kernel I used manual which is placed over here....but when i try to run new kernel i always get kernel panic....i guess i have some troubles with yards...i used mkinitrd.yaird -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18.3_2.6.18.3

tris what i get when a i try create a ram disk after using command mkinitrd.yaird -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18.3 2.6.18.3 the output is yaird error: can't open /proc/bus/input/devices (fatal)

Which tutorial did you use (URL)? Are you on Sarge or Etch? Is it a real system or a virtual one?
What's the output of
