Default Zone files not updating after recovery from backup

We rebuilt a ispconfig box and restored from backup. We restored the zoen files but it appears that editing the zone files under ISPConfig's "DNS Manager" does not generate new or update existing zone files.

There is no error message in /var/log/messages. I assume this is a permissions or uid issue but would like to know where to find error messages to troubleshoot furhter.

thanks

Default

Please check the ispconfig.log in /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ for errors.

Also make sure that the settings to the zonefile directory are correct in the ispconfog server settings and that the permissions fo the zonefiles dir match the permissions described in the perfect setup guide for ispconfig 2.
