File Manager - Super User Fails to Open

From the user desktop I click on File Manager - Super User, it prompts me for the root password, it takes the password, then thats it, the program never opens. Any ideas why?? It was working yesterday. I did install the latest realtek drivers since then, I wonder if I found a bug of some sort?? Anyone else experience this?? If I log in as root the file manager opens fine.....
