Thanks. I am using Centos4.5 and ispconfig 2.2.14. The issue is now resolved though. I followed your instructions @ http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/arc...php/t-242.html and it seemed to work (also had to change back to directory "/var/named/chroot/var/named"; in /var/named/chroot/var/etc/named.conf).
