Problems with updating email account

I get some problem with updating email account for "Centos" version 4.4 (x86_64). Usually if the system have exist "user_email" in any domain. the system must be checking and have result "duplicate email address" when any user try to create or update the same email address, but for centos, the system not to be warning "duplicate email address", and create or update the same email adresss.

So i want to know that, this is a problem only for centos or not???

Because for SuSE linux, i not get this problem....
