Default Installing firefox 2.0 and d4x for X on mandriva 2007

I am new to linux and am very happy working with the mandirva 2007. However, I have a big problem in installing and using the firefox 2 and d4x and all other downloadable softwares.

I have tried many things but cannot make these work. Any help would be highly appreciated and soon!!

Have you tried to find rpm packages for your distribution? Maybe Mandriva has already created rpm paclages for Firefox 2.0 and d4x.
