Default ftp user home directory problem

hi
I have a fresh new installation of ISPCONFIG 3.0.5.2 on a Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
server.
I am having a problem assigning directory to user.
ISP propose a path. If I try to change it, he should create the path, I suppose.
The default path proposed is:
/var/www/clients/client1/web1

I add a level to that path assigning:
/var/www/clients/client1/web1/diversa

But it isn't happening what I suppose.

Infact when I try to login I have that out:
Risposta: 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ----------
Risposta: 220-You are user number 1 of 50 allowed.
Risposta: 220-Local time is now 17:01. Server port: 21.
Risposta: 220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
Risposta: 220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
Risposta: 220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Comando: USER blabla
Risposta: 331 User blabla OK. Password required
Comando: PASS ****
Risposta: 421 Home directory not available - aborting
Errore: Impossibile collegarsi al server

Someone is having the same trouble, or does exist some trik?

Thanks to all

Default

FTP user home directories are only allowed inside the document root.
This is /var/www/clients/clientX/webY at default.

At website security settings HIGH (server config) this path is protected via chattr +i so a directory directly inside this directory level cannot be created.
They can only be created inside a subdirectory like private or web or cgi-bin.

This is a bug that is fixed in the next version (3.0.5.3).
