Default Perfect Desktop (lisa)

Hello -

I am new to Linux Mint and have just installed the Mint (lisa) LXDE version to an older laptop. Everything went well during install and I updated / installed drivers for my PCMCIA wireless to function.

I am following "The Perfect Desktop" tutorial. BUT looking at the photos displayed they ll show a panel at the top of the desktop screen. I have just a bottom panel (much like Windows) and nothing at the top like Ubuntu. Does this have to do with the LXDE version? or has my installation gone awry?

Any assistance would be terrific! I looked through the forum but saw nothing similar related to my issue.

Regards
George
