Default Ispconfig panel (ssl) through Pound

I have been playing around with ispconfig, and learning a lot about web servers. I only have a couple of IP addresses , and I'd like to put more than a couple of servers behind them, so I am now playing around with Pound.

I can make it work just fine with http. Seems no problem there. It's when I want to go to my ispconfig management panel that it fails. I can't figure out how to make the port 8080 go through pound.

depending on the settings I fiddle with I get message like "The service is not available. Please try again later." or "Internal Server Error".

Has anybody done that? If so, how?
