limit email send amount

Hi,
We recently had one of our email accounts compromised and was used to send spam out. We corrected this issue but not until 2000 emails we sent out.

Is there anyway to put a limit per day on how many emails an account can send out?

This would also help if one of our real users decide to send a tonne of emails out as well.
