Question FTP : Client to have access to all sites under client dir

Hi,
I'd like to give a client access to all the sites under his directory.
However, when i assign an FTP user in ISPConfig - it just assigns the UID on a per website basis.

Eg. UID - Web1
GID - client1

But, what if the client owns web1,web2,web3?

When they try to navigate to other sites under their client dir with 1 FTP account, they just get blank FTP response 226 and i'm not familiar enough with nix to correct it.

Edit: I want to give them access to /var/www/clients/client1/
Not just /var/www/clients/client1/web1
Simply changing the directory under the FTP-user screen doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks
